The Learning Channel Adds "A Conception Story" To Boost Ratings
by Patrick Kirk Gillock
Chesterville, WA - Following in the footsteps of A Dating Story, A Wedding Story, and A Baby Story, The Learning Channel (TLC) has decided to add A Conception Story to its real-life programming line-up, in an attempt to boost ratings and keep talented television writers unemployed.
A Conception Story will follow a couple as they take the necessary steps to conceive a child. "Our cameras will be there for the dinner, the movie, the foreplay, the... 'you know,' and the morning after." said producer, Chuck Bantly. "I really think people will like it. I know I do!"
After recent shows like A Make-Over Story and A Personal Story failed to find an audience, producers feel a show about sex is a "sure thing". When asked "What makes A Conception Story any different from other real-life-empty-minded-sex-series like Temptation Island?", producer Chuck Bantly responded, "Our couples are more real because they are in love. Not to mention, really sexy! ...and hot! ...and wild!"
The first episode, entitled "The XXX-mas Party ", will follow a young married couple attending an office Christmas party. The show ends when they sneak-off into a copyroom for a little "reproduction" of their own. Future shows include, "The Drive-In & Out", "@$%#! The Condom Broke", and the cliff-hanger season finale entitled, "I'm Late!"
