Bridge Over Troubled Water Collapses, "Hundreds of Friends Perish"

Chesterville, WA - "Ohh the ironic-humanity!" This morning, while hundreds were helping their friends avoid difficult times, the bridge which they were on suddenly collapsed.

Some victims were instantly thrown into the troubled waters while others, the "codependents", just held on until help arrived.

"I don't care how well you build something, a bridge over troubled water can not withstand that much avoidance and abuse of friendship." said Engineer, Ted Simmons. "When you have that many people 'laying themselves down' something's gotta give."

It's unsure how many lives and friendships were torn apart by today's catastrophe, but some speculate it may take many more bridge collapses before people stop avoiding problems and learn to stand on their own two feet.

"Not only has a popular make-out spot been destroyed, but our trust has been destroyed as well." said Mayor Tom Jenkins. He concluded with, "But none of this would have happened if you'd voted for Initiative 47 and allowed me to dam these troubled waters in the first place!!!"
