Once used only in "controlled groups", Placebos have now made their way into the main stream and into suburbia USA.

Placebos: The Silent Killer

Chesterville, WA - For the fifth time this month a death has occurred because of an unapproved FDA drug known as Placebo. One of the most prescribed drugs in the world, Placebo strikes without warning because of it's lack of side-effects, it's sweet taste, and it's cool name (Plaahh Ceeee Boohh).

"People assume this drug will cure all their ailments, but nothing could be further from the truth." said Dr. Carl Perkins. "A patient prescribed Placebo for an ailment, which is all in his mind, will soon begin to feel better. Of course thinking the Placebo cured them. Unfortunately, when the patient is actually ill they once again believe the Placebo will make them well. As you can imagine, the side-effect for this self-prescribed sugar tablet is sometimes death."

John S. of Chesterville has been self-medicating himself with Placebo for about 6 months. "I take 3 tablets a day and I have the new Placebo patch for my smoking habit." He went on to say, "Unfortunately Health Insurance doesn't cover Placebo prescriptions, so I'm forced to buy low-end "Bo" (Placebo) from drug dealers on the street. I don't like having to do that! But it's the only thing keeping me alive!"
