No Good Clothes To Wear On Laundry Day
by

Chesterville , WA - Sunday was a day unlike any other day. It was Laundry Day. A weekly, monthly, and for some, a yearly ritual in which dirty clothes are cleansed. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, old clothes are born again.

For some the most difficult part of Laundry Day is finding other clothes to wear. After all, your good clothes are in the wash. It was in just such a situation that 28 year old Jonathan Pierce found himself in late yesterday afternoon. He had searched and searched for something to wear but nothing would fit him. It was then he spotted his old High School Cap and Gown hiding behind a Pac Man t-shirt and a pair of parachute pants. (Why he was keeping his cap and gown is a whole other topic... I mean, it's not like a wedding dress where you can pass it down to your siblings. Really, what was he thinking? Just keep the tassel man!)

Anyway, since going nude was not an option, he had no choice but to wear the cap and gown. So he put on his old graduation attire, looked in the mirror, and headed off to the Laundromat.

Fortunately for Jonathan nobody really noticed him sitting in the corner, all alone, and reading a magazine. That was until he was on his way out the door. It was right then an old friend walked into the washateria. He couldn't believe it. "Tammy Jenkins! What are you doing here?" She replied "My laundry.... Wow! The last time I saw you was what.... ten years ago.... at graduation." Tammy and Jonathan both look at the tassel hanging in front of his eyes. Tammy says "You need to let go Jonathan." and walks right by.

Jonathan screams out "It's LAUNDRY DAY!!!!"
